Qyntel Woods Was "Pit Bull Fighting"

Jailblazers Qyntel Woods was busted for being part of a illegal FIGHTING PIT BULL ring and sadly it was not too shocking.

Portland Jailblazer fans have become accustomed to criminal behavior, poor character, and a host of other Qyntel Woods Mugshot Pitbull Fightingnegatives when it comes to their once beloved Trailblazers.

Not only has Qyntel Woods been involved in raising fighting pit bulls but he has had several run ins with the law on seperate occasions, ranging from driving with no insurance to possession of marijuana.

This mugshot here of Qyntel, the "Animal Abuser" was taken in Bend Oregon after charges of Animal Abuse had been leveled at him.

Qyntel accepted a plea that dropped the harshest of the charges and was sentenced to 80 hours community service and some fines.

Qyntel Woods was cited for driving with a suspended license and no proof of insurance. Qyntel "Smoking" Woods was stopped by police, who found marijuana in his car. When asked to provide his driver's license andinsurance, Woods allegedly gave the cops his rookie card for ID.

Qyntel Woods: Dog Hating Pot Smoker

When Qyntel Woods came up for draft eligibility in 2002 after graduating from Northeast Mississippi Community College, he was said to be the next Tracy McGrady.  A small forward, he showed the most promise in his game when he was with the Knicks.  A dynamo on the court, he hasn't had a successful run with any team due to his off court problems.

He was arrested for marijuana possession and driving without a license in 2003.  the original traffic stop was for speeding. When the officer smelled marijuana smoke coming from the vehicle, the nature of the stop went from routine to a full search.

It was found that Woods was driving without a valid license or insurance, had marijuana in the car, was under the influence of marijuana while driving, and was speeding.  In the end the charge came down to possession, diving under an invalid license and operating a vehicle without insurance.

The court ordered Woods to pay over $1000 in fines, and the NBA benched him for several games.  So how did he get in trouble for having an invalid license and no insurance? When the officer asked him the routine "license and registration please" he reportedly handed him only his basketball trading card and a credit card, unable to produce his license, insurance or registration at the time.

On a more serious note, Woods was arrested in Bend, ORegon for running a fighting pit bull ring and raising fighting pit bulls, a serious animal cruelty offense.  He copped a plea to a lesser charge, receiving a paltry 80 hours of community service, a year of probation and fines.  His two pit bulls were removed from his care.

How did he get caught running a fighting ring, when he was purportedly running it out of his house?  One of the pit bulls he owned was badly injured in a fight, and Qyntel tried to abandon it by the side of the road, which was what first alerted authorities to what was going on.

He played for the Portland Trailblazers at the time of his arrest. The team's response to the reports of animal cruelty was much more decisive.  They revoked his contract and cut him loose immediately after hearing the news of his arrest. Apparently, even the Portland "Jailblazers" have a limit on how much legal problems one team mate can have and still remain on their roster.

Woods has been bounced form team to team because of his behavior in his personal life.  He has played for the Portland Trailblazers, the Miami Heat, the Boston Celtics, and the New York Knicks.  He has yet to have an outstanding year on the court.

Soon after the arrest and the fiasco going public, The Jailblazers released Qyntel Woods from the Portland Trailblazers roster.  At least the management was smart enough to realize that cutting their losses with Qyntel immediately was the smartest move.

Qyntel Woods is a PR nightmare.  It's just one more example of how incompetent the Portland Trailblazers management really is.  Their choice of clientele is absolutely appalling.

However it didn't take long for another NBA team to swipe up this NBA Criminal.  The Miami Heat quickly signed Qyntel Woods to a deal.

Because all that really matters is whether or not you can make a hoop.  The NBA doesn't care if you fight Pit Bulls to their death.  They will still hire you.

For some reason I actually thought the Miami Heat was a decent orgainization.  Obviously, I was wrong.

Please don't get involved with Pit Bull Fighting.
